the City Z:16 - 2008

DIARY
towards midday today i woke up refreshed after a long, deep and restful sleep in my air-conditioned room. after a leisurely shower i went to the palace tent for a hearty breakfast. there i met up with some like-minded people i had got to know the evening before in the City.

i spent the whole day on the beach with my new friends. in my life i have seldom seen such a beautiful, clean, wide sandy beach. in the evening we went back from the beach to the City on the City shuttle bus (a wonderful luxury when you consider that the City is only 800m from the beach). after our arrival we chilled out in the stylish lounge and observed the activity in the palace tent and the City. incredible, so many young people coming together from all over the world. united in friendship and party mood. we all agreed that this is the second top venue besides the kaZantip republic, in Popovka, both for those who live in the City as well as for the large numbers of guests who aren’t able to enjoy this privilege and just come here to eat, drink and chill. just incredibly cool what goes on here…

we decided to rest in our rooms for a while and freshen up before meeting up later for dinner. however, I first went to get some liquid refreshments from the City store and then checked out the latest information on the big digital screen at the City reception. then i spent some time in the Internet Café where i wrote a short mail to my friends and family at home telling them about the great time i was having. oh well, a bit of gloating doesn’t hurt!

in the evening then i met up with my friends. the biggest problem in the City is deciding what to eat. you have a huge choice and the food is inexpensive and can be recommended without exception. after meeting my friends at one of the two large bars we sat down to eat at one of the many tables in the centre of the beautifully lit tent. the atmosphere in this tent is pure magic.

the party had already started. from 8 p.m. and stops at 1 a.m. as every night. the most celebrated DJs from Russia and Europe were at the turntables of their own City dance floor and various, super cool City sponsors made sure of great entertainment and a fantastic atmosphere. absolutely brilliant for getting warmed up and in the mood for kaZantip republic.

after midnight we all made our way in high spirits to kaZantip republic to party and dance the night away at the craziest, hottest and wildest event in the world. “paradise” is the only word that fully describes what you experience in kaZantip republic…

fortunately, hot food is available in the City day and night. whatever you want. so we were able to have a snack after returning to the City in the early hours of the morning. then off to bed for much needed deep and restful sleep. this is the life …. until tomorrow, dear diary.
